Today (June 2, 2016), Yediot Aharonot published an essay on summer camps for children.
Meir Panim’s Or Akiva summer camp was featured. See what they had to say:
Purely Volunteer!
This year, Meir Panim will run a summer camp for low-income families in Or Akiva, for a nominal
fee of only 100 ILS. “Our camp is volunteer-based only, and the parents do not need to pay for
anything other than insurance,” says Meir Panim’s Or Akiva branch manager Ilanit Haputa. “The
camp runs for a month and includes breakfast and lunch and plenty of activities such as arts and
crafts, swimming, outdoor activities and trips. There is a great demand by families for this summer
camp, and this year registration is up to 100 children.”
